Tomás Urquieta

Tomás Urquieta is a Viña del Mar born, Santiago based Chilean DJ and producer who is affiliated and acts as A&R for Infinite Machine.

In 2015, Tomás debuted on the imprint with the Manuscript EP, following up with his highly acclaimed 2016 La Muerte de Todo Lo Nuevo EP, a far less Latin-inflected release. In complete agreement with its title, the EP does indeed sound like “The Death Of All That Is New” – seemingly oxidizing the stainless steel of current club music in real time and demolishing its marble structures in slow motion.

Tomás toured Europe in 2015, opening the show for M.E.S.H.’s album release, Piteous Gate (PAN). In 2016 he opened for Moderat and Nicholas Jaar in Chile. Most recently, he toured Mexico with sets at Festival Nrmal and Ensamble’s Jam 007 with KABLAM and Sissel Wincent.

Guest mixes by Tomás have been hosted by NTS, Radar Radio and others.

Tomás's first full-length album is scheduled for autumn 2017 on Infinite Machine.
