Cult songwriter Sean Nicholas Savage is known for a tremendous output of heartbreaking ballads of an amateur or naive expression. Recent highlights of his output include his 2022, Mac DeMarco produced LP Shine, as well as his one person camp-noir theater piece »The Fear«. He will be touring central and northern Europe in October and November of 2023.

As part of CTM Festival 2020, Gabber Modus Operandi joined forces with Nakibembe Embaire Group and Harsya Wahono (of Uwalmassa) for a legendary performance bridging folk tradition and hardcore. Nyege Nyege Tapes have now documented that collaboration in the form of the Nakibembe Embaire Group release, on which numerous tracks feature contributions from all three artists, aside to equally brilliant pieces by Nakibembe alone, who are one of the few remaining groups performing with the powerful communal embaire xylophone. Gabber Modus Operandi are open for EU bookings this summer and autumn.

Zoë Mc Pherson has dropped their new album Pitch Blender to a slew of critical acclaim,including features in The Wire and Dazed, among others. They debuted the new live solo set at Berghain’s Klubnacht and the live AV premiered at Rewire Festival in Den Haag to delirious responses. Check out their recent DJ set for HÖR Berlin below. Featuring band members going by the names of classic black metal bands in Japanese katakana such as “ダークスローン ”, “メイヘム ”, and “エンペラー”, as well as Kezzardrix in charge of visuals, strobe lights, and smoke machines, Violent Magic Orchestra, aka VMO, is an art music project in which techno, black metal, industrial, and noise are harmoniously integrated and presented to the public like a luminous, blinding light.
