Adopting the stage name 3OK, the genesis of this hyper-rhythmical trio was through a residency at 2022's Nyege Nyege studios in Uganda, where DJ Diaki, Jay Mitta and Zoë Mc Pherson started improvising during long high-energy sessions of finger drumming on 200 BPM beats.

3OK is Zoë Mc Pherson - cybernetic Soundsystem experimentalist, who's somehow able to match the raw energy of post-punk with the brain-altering potential of the best bass club tracks, DJ Diaki, whose hard-thumping electro balani live sets channel the quintessential African rave sound, and Jay Mitta, one of the core producers of Sisso Studios, the Dar es Salaam collective responsible for popularising singeli worldwide.

The project's debut performance, at Berlin’s Berghain during CTM festival was a resounding success. The trio are eager to continue exploding metrics together and to continue developing the journey of their common raw, highly human, and heart-warming sound.
